โ“ How to Use HydrateNow

HydrateNow is a smart hydration tracking app that reminds you to drink water based on your body weight, schedule, and lifestyle. It's designed for accuracy, ease of use, and full offline support.

  1. Enter your gender (used for future hydration insights).
  2. Input your weight (in kg) โ€” this helps the app calculate your daily water target using a medical formula.
  3. Choose your reminder interval (in minutes). This sets how often the app reminds you.
  4. Enable or disable sound alerts using the "Reminder Sound" dropdown.
  5. Set your sleep time (Start and End). The app automatically disables notifications during your sleep hours to avoid interruptions.
  6. Click the โ€œStart Reminderโ€ button to begin hydration tracking.
  7. When started, the button will change to โ€œStop Reminderโ€. Click it to pause all reminders without deleting your data.
  8. To manually log a drink, select your beverage type and click โ€œLog 250ml Drinkโ€. Different drinks adjust your hydration count.
  9. Your hydration status updates in real-time with a progress bar and text values.
  10. Use the "Reset Today" button to clear today's data only โ€” useful for accidental logs.
  11. Use the "Reset All History" button to wipe all stored water data. This action is permanent.
  12. The app saves your hydration progress, settings, and charts locally using localStorage, even offline.
  13. Offline Sync: HydrateNow is a Progressive Web App (PWA). Once installed, it works fully offline with smart caching and quick load times.
